Inaugural Awakening 2017

This map is a picture of prayers that are going up all over our nation. I am seeing God stir the young people of our nation to pray as never before. They are holding our country up with intercession that will bring the greatest Awakening this generation has ever seen. This week, let's pray Proverbs 21.1 on this Inauguration Week 2017:

"The kings heart is in the hand of the Lord, as rivers of water, He turns it where He wishes."

Praying for President-elect Trump to grow into this kingship and leadership. That God would reveal Himself to this administration in the days to come. That God would speak to President-elect Trump. We must be praying for a group of new spiritual leaders in Government. We desperately need a new breed of leadership to bring God back into our ruling and ultimately our nation.

I have been in several Youth prayer meetings in the past few weeks. Students and leaders in Iowa, California, Arizona, and Minnesota on their face praying for an Awakening in our country. Look where our natural ideas have gotten us. I think it’s time for a spiritual Awakening to drive our nation's recovery and greatness. Our ideas have done no more than what we see in our country right now. We don’t simply need more of our ideas. We need a remarkable spiritual Awakening.

This generation has had a lack of respect for authority. One thing that must be captured from our past is the reverence of governmental leadership that once relied upon God. Spiritual leadership. But, at this point in our nations history, it now relies upon ingenuity. It now relies upon natural skill-sets. It now relies upon oratory skills. It now relies upon intellect. And look where our reliance upon these things has brought us. Societies need more than ideas. Societies need the blessing that comes from the Presence of the Creator upon our ideas.

The disunity in our nation must be healed. The young people that I see across our country are modeling diversity, gracism, and love. It is exactly what America needs right now. Pray with me on a regular basis for our President. Proverbs 21.1 does not have to merely be an Inauguration Day 2017 prayer. May our prayer every week be, "The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as rivers of water, He turns it where He wishes."

God, stir the young people of our nation to pray as never before. Like lights across the landscape of our country. To hold America up with intercession that brings the greatest Awakening this generation has ever seen.
