A Thousand Personal Revivals...

A thousand personal revivals...

How do we change the world? Assuming it must be changed.
It begins with a thousand personal revivals. A thousand people who will believe that God is the creator of their lives. A thousand people who will live by the standards in His Word. A thousand people who will be the change in the world that they want to see.

I will be the first personal revival. Number one. We need 999 more. Read on to see what you are signing up for. Then, if you are willing, be number two, and number three, and number four, and...

Has our generation seen the effects of one person completely sold out to God? A life surrendered completely to Him and the Christian faith. Can you name one person that has surrendered their life completely to Christianity? God has spoken to me to find 1,000 people who will have a personal revival. To believe God is their creator and to live by His standards and to be the change in the world they want to see.

A popular phrase has hit our culture over the past 20 years. It was taken from the classic book by Charles Sheldon, In His Steps. One pastor, through a series of events, was challenged to break out of his comfort zones and take a one year challenge. The challenge to ask ‘what would Jesus do’ before everything he did. And it changed his life and the tiny church he pastored. The phrase has been made into slogans for athletes, placed on t-shirts and wrist bands, and composed into songs. It even has its own acronym. What Would Jesus Do (or, WWJD) has become a legendary Christian entrance into the dictionary. But, what about our lives?

Here is what I am asking. Practically.

REVIVAL is to live the purpose you have been created for.
·         REVIVAL is to live the dream God has for you.
·         REVIVAL is to live absolute truth and not relative truth.
·         REVIVAL is to live in prayer and devotion to God daily.
·         REVIVAL is to live to love God and man and not to hate God or man.
·         REVIVAL is to live without materialism and with contentment.
·         REVIVAL is to live unbalanced and radical in the center of God’s will for your life.
·         REVIVAL is to live the life of Christ by mimicking His traits and actions.

If you are willing, seriously willing, pray about this and don’t hit ‘like’ or ‘comment’ yet. Think about it and publish your willingness to be the second, or third, or fourth personal revival. And be the change that you want to see in the world.

Colossians 3.17, “And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.”
