If He CAN, then He WILL

"When we actually believe that God can, it becomes easier to expect that He will."

Hebrews 11.6 says, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him."

If you have ever watched a top athlete in their sport, an artist at their prime, a musician working an audience, or a preacher who is anointed, you have seen excellence at the highest level. I was extremely confident that when Michael Jordan was in his prime he would score a winning basket for the Chicago Bulls. Because I have seen it several times. In the same manner, I am extremely confident that when Billy Graham is addressing a stadium of people there will be thousands who accept Christ as Lord.

Why? Because I have seen Michael Jordan and Billy Graham do this. And knowing that they can do this helps me to believe that they will do this.
When we doubt the ability and power of God to heal or move on our behalf, it may be because we do not believe that He can. That doubt can be borne in us when we do not experience His sovereignty through healing or His activity in our life. On the contrary, when we have seen God work, our faith is increased to know that He will do it again.

One of the dangers in our relationship with God is that just because we haven't seen Him do something that we are asking for, it doesn't mean He cannot do it. You have to learn that His ability is related to His willingness. That it is His nature to heal or to work on our behalf and that will not change.

As Paul said in our text above, faith is the ingredient that Helps us to see that not only CAN He work, but He wants to.

There are simply times when He chooses to work in ways that we do not understand. Rest assured, He is still working. Not just because He can. But because He wants to.
